Aileron uses Microsoft Internet Explorer as the client user interface
which is a major product and service differentiation from traditional
applications. Our network can consist of a private intranet or can
leverage the Internet, and with the help of encryption can be a
virtual private network. The applications themselves are hosted
in a professionally managed data center environment that is remote
from the customer site, or if the customer prefers, hosted in-house.
The baseline elements of the Aileron offering include:
Enterprise
level web-based solutions with remote and secure access to all
functions.
State-of-the-art
data center operations to house and support the applications.
Exceptional
user interfaces offering expanded utility and user friendliness.
Dedicated
server software and data storage environment for customers.
Fully
redundant Internet connectivity.
Automated
disaster recovery features.
Full
management and upgrade/patching of the hosted applications.
Phone-based
customer support for functional end-users.
The Aileron Billing System is the latest response to airport industry
needs for a sophisticated aircraft billing and lease management
solution.
The
first solution provided by our company and using this technology
is called the Remote Aviation Access System (RAAStm),
an aircraft maintenance planning, inventory, cost, and records/knowledge
management system for regional, national and international airlines.
Released in 1999 RAAS was literally years ahead of the industry
and continues to offer tremendous opportunity now that hosted solutions
are gaining wider acceptance.
RAAS
is the technical cornerstone of all of our products. With over 1.5
million lines of code and proven to be bulletproof in a sector of
the industry that is subject to repeated and intense audits the
technical expertise gained through the development of RAAS assures
that other products such as Aileron will operate reliably.
The
second of our products is a flight information system (FIDS) called
iFIDS.com. A full Internet flight information display (iFIDS), gate
information display (GIDS) and baggage information display (BIDS)
system was first released in November of 2000. These systems include
imaging, messaging and Flash capabilities as well as our touch-screen
Kiosks and the Fast Track email flight notification system.
Aileron
followed as a response to the very low technology solutions available
for aeronautical fees billing processes. Aileron was first released
as a commercial product in 2001. |
